What's included with your portrait experience?

A guided session with award winning photographer Kirsten Aldridge

I will help you look and feel your best in front of the camera and have a fun, stress-free session

Full use of my props and wardrobe and support from my trained photography assistant during the session

(classic studio sessions only)

Every collection includes an 8"x10" classic display frame, professionally edited and printed images and high resolution digitals

You will have access to a beautiful range of frames and display options

What else do you need to know?

Your session fee reserves your appointment and contributes towards my time for photographing your family, editing your images, and preparing your gallery for viewing

Allow 2 hours for Petite and Simply Authentic sessions and 4 hours for Grand Sessions. This is particularly important for newborn and baby sessions where I take a baby-led approach with plenty of time for feeding and cuddles

I will share some images online so you can show your friends and family while you wait for the full gallery, and will invite you to return or your viewing appointment at my studio to choose your favourites and take them home

Celebrate your pregnancy by adding a 6 image studio maternity collection, when you book a classic studio newborn baby session.

This is also a great opportunity to meet us and see the studio before your newborn baby session

Newborn floral supplement | $100

We will create a bespoke flower or succulent nest for your classic studio newborn baby session

Hair & Makeup | c.$180

Having your hair and make-up done before a session makes you feel great, often more relaxed, and it photographs beautifully. I work with a number of hair and make-up artists and will make arrangements for them to come to you at home before your session

A few weeks after your session you will be invited to a viewing appointment at my studio

Your gallery of images will be professionally edited, printed and mounted in a white card frame with a crystal clear protective sleeve - ready for you to choose your favourites and take them home

Your images will be kept safe in a keepsake bag or display box

Choose your framed wall art

Most of my clients select at least one large piece of framed wall art and some smaller framed images for themselves and grandparents. I have examples and frame samples in the studio for you to see and touch and can help you decide how and what to frame

I take all of the hassle out of organising wall art and will deliver it to you ready to be hung. If you like, I can even introduce you to my own portrait hanger who will ensure your artwork is hung with precision, safely and securely. Simple and perfect - exactly what busy parents need!

The classic frame included with all collections is handmade wood and available in your choice of four colours: white, black, rimu stain and mocha stain. This can be upgraded to a larger size or more ornate frame choice. Albums are also available

All of my frames include the highest quality glass to ensure your images are viewed at their best. I primarily use Conservation Reflection Control glass in most of my frames, which scatters and diffuses the light to reduce unwanted glare. While I would always caution you not to hang a frame in direct sunshine, this glass also contains 99% UV protection
