Introducing our local photographers of the future

Updated: Sep 1, 2020

Visitors to the Diamond Harbour beach last week might have noticed ten fledgling photographers from the Diamond Harbour Church youth group busy snapping portraits, landscapes and other creative shots using rock towers, splashing water and spider webs!

Local Diamond Harbour newborn and family photographers Kerri-Ann Cameron from Timbs Photography and myself, Kirsten Aldridge from Kirsten Naomi Photography, taught the teenagers how to use their digital SLR cameras on some of the more advanced manual settings and provided an introduction to the theory of light and photographic composition.

Taking advantage of the sunshine the group then set off down Morgan’s Gully to the Diamond Harbour beach to practice their new skills. As you can see from their images, we have lots of creative talent and almost certainly some future contributors to the Camera Club’s annual calendar!

Many thanks to Helen Cobby for orgnaising the workshop.

If you are interested in booking a family photography session please pop over to Kirsten Naomi Photography or Timbs Photography to learn more or get in touch.
